BLOG 4 years ago by Donglars Hey Lauryn, Iâm a Yardie by birth, so Iâm definitely biased towards the Jamaican Athletes, especially their performances of late.(That Shelly-ann is the cutest thing Iâve seen in a looong time). But I must say I hear and agree with what youâre saying. I do see the very negative talk out there on the blogs and youtube etc. and itâs very dis-heartening. It's like once you give a medium to people to air their opinions, it eventually devolves into a bunch of jackasses sounding off and taking up all the space. However, It was curious to me how people were insinuating that Bolt and the other Jamaicans were doping, and that the times were not âNaturalâ until, that is that Tyson and Carmelita busted out those times at the end of their 2009 seasons. Now all of a sudden Bolt is looking like a prophet when he says âanything is possibleâ suddenly now thise times seem "Legit". But like you I hope the other athletes in track and field realize the âNew beginning/Opportunity/Giftâ they have been given by the latest performances by the Jamaicans and Tyson Gay (whom i respect) and also Carmelita (whom i also find really interestingâ¦), to put back the reputation into the Sport to bring in more âNerdsâ like me and others who never really paid much or any attention to this stuff before (Except during the Olympics). This so that the rising tide will lift all the boats and all the Athletes will reap the benefits of the game, especially veterans like your self. And since weâre on the subject of âLiftâ, as far as the Americans are concerned ...like the joker asked the Bat man â¦"Why so Serious?â Iâm not saying you guys need to act up or show antics like Usain Bolt etc. but when yâall win, people donât feel â¦âDrawn/pulledâ into your celebration. In other words nobody can seem to feel/share the Joy with you all, because it's like y'all are so uptightâ¦except for maybe Sanya (As her personality is all over the place). As for you, Iâm rooting for you as well as Iâve seen that u have it in yu to get that individual Gold⦠Oh yeah, i think youâre kinda cute too. Easy running's (Iâll be watching as the future competitions are going to be soooo sweet ). |

I MUST concur with you about Tyson, I am not going to lie we treasure our boy, but no one can deny how REMARKABLE tyson his. I watched him ran and yes he ran the race of his life. I just know he will get better. Champions like Tyson doesn't quit. So even though I am not from your country I will tell you that no one will ever forget the race he ran. A lot of countries would do anything to get a silver medal, especially in a race as competitive as the one just passed in Berlin. Take care |

I have a lil confidence issue & many say thats why i don't perform to the best of my ability.
